Breakfast was fresh, varied and many options. Well presented, clean buffet. Delicious. Rooms big, comfortable bed. Very clean rooms. Half board. Dinners amazing!!! Every meal was well prepared and presented. Restaurant only for customers at hotel. Staff friendly and good service.

Everything was great. There was a car park just near the hotel. Dona Ana beach and Ponta de Piedade ( with amazing view) were very close to hotel. Breakfast was brilliant and almond sweets were tasty :). There was mini bar in our room as well. Room was very clean and stuff was very friendly.

They had a great breakfast selection,most of the staff were very friendly and welcoming, the rooms were very clean and it was quiet and peaceful: perfect for relaxing. It's close to the beaches and quite close to the town centre as well

Perfect location - walking distance to Lagos town center, beaches, and Ponta da Piedade. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Mine was in the main building and had a balcony. Breakfast buffet was good and dinner can be included with the room as well, plus snacks available next to the main pool all day.

Everything! Room beautiful, modern and clean. Breakfast was amazing. Facilities amazing although weather did not cooperate so we didn't swim-next time. Walking distance to town, beaches and walk ways. Staff very helpful and friendly. Best stay of our entire trip of 2 weeks. Thanks

Lovely relaxed feel at Vale d'El Rei. The classic rooms are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Beautiful pool area and surroundings. Staff very welcoming and always on hand to help.

I just stayed one night out of season. Very good value, excellent room, good food, large parking. Dinner is a la carte and breakfast buffet. Coffee machine self-serving at breakfast.

Lovely hotel, nice lounges, restaurant and pool bar area. The pool looked very inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable. Lovely views from the bedroom. The staff were very pleasant and attentive.

Just stayed one night so we could easily visit the beach and caves but wow, the hotel was amazing value. Great rooms, excellent breakfast, efficient and friendly staff... Considering another vacation to just come and stay here.

Minor comments being picky would be the heated pool could be warmer and also the hydrotherapy pool was cold.

Modern and clean hotel, we booked a junior suite which was so spacious and gorgeous! Food options for breakfast were great, bar food lovely. Heated pool with cover so could be used in bad weather. Great location near beach and restaurants. Would definitely recommend!

The staff were very attentive. We spent more than a week here as we cycled. Parking of vehicle and bikes were easy and reasonable. The access to beach is across the walkway. Amazing beach. Huge beach. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Our room had an amazing view, was very spacious, and super clean. Loved getting to watch the sun set from the terrace- but could see from the other westward facing rooms as well! Everything about the space was amazing, and the rest of the resort was also clean and nicely done.

Visit annually, staying in an apartment with a view of the pool. Close amenities such as a beach & lovely bars/restaurants within a 5 minute walk. 30 minute walk into town. Gym & indoor pool on site alongside restaurant, bar & helpful concierge. Brilliant hotel situated in a lovely area.

Fresh, clean, friendly, close to the beach. It was so spacious and comfortable and we felt very safe.

Everything was exceptional. Extremely confortable and relaxing. So relaxing at some point we were whispering. The breakfast is absolutely delicious. You can stargaze from the balcony or rooftop.

Had such a great time at Tivoli! The room was comfortable and clean, the staff were so friendly, and the beach and pools were perfect for relaxing. Everything felt really well taken care of, can’t wait to come back!

I had a wonderful stay here! The resort is in an ideal location — just a short walk to the beach and nearby towns, with plenty of restaurants less than a minute away. The rooms were cozy, comfortable, and made me feel right at home. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and convenience.

Lovely place and staff! Amazing pools and the beds are super comfy. Congrats to the entertainment staff, they made our stay much more fun! The train is a plus for us to get near the beach! But if you can go by walk to the beach. The gardens are incredible!

Wonderful stay at a beautiful hotel. Rooms are very modern with extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast is excellent as is the location very close to the beach. Be aware that some pool view rooms are on the pool level and do do not have a balcony or a lot of privacy!

We had a wonderful time at the Iberostar resort in Lagos. The hotel was exceptional, with spacious rooms and brilliant facilities. The food, especially the breakfast was delicious. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. Would definitely come back and would highly recommend.

The lady at the check-in desk (Enis) was very friendly and helpful. The view to the sea was good. The layout of the hotel and facilities were also impressive. The breakfast and restaurant staff and cooks were also exceptionally good.

This hotel is perfect!!! We stayed there at Christmas period it was so nice the room so big and new, the inside pool and especially the jacuzzi was perfect and so relaxing. The restaurant was good with variety of foods and so tasty. we would like to stay there again sometime.

Perfect stopover en route to Lagos. Chilled atmosphere with everything the traveller requires. Self service buffet breakfast and dinner was value for money and reasonably good. Plenty to choose from. Reception staff welcoming and helpful.

Pool was amazing, Spa amazing (£20 per day extra) but well worth it! Staff were amazing, and the room was huge and very modern! Will definitely be revisiting again. Beachfront hotel, and the beach was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen in my life.

Hotel was good and clean. Surrounding was a breath of fresh air. Only thing we didn’t like was not having our room cleaned and had to request multiple times which was very inconvenient with a baby.

This four-star hotel located on the outskirts of town. While the location is a bit removed from central attractions, getting around was easy and convenient with Uber, which was consistently quick to arrive. The hotel itself is massive and exceptionally clean — from the lobby to the hallways, everything was spotless and had a fresh, pleasant scent throughout our stay. The rooms were impressively large and extremely spacious, offering all the amenities you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber: bathrobes, slippers, toiletries, iron and ironing board, and a mini fridge. The hotel is clearly geared more toward families and pet owners than couples. There were many dogs on the property, and it’s very kid-friendly, with three children’s pools and one adult pool. While the pool facilities were ample and there were plenty of chairs and umbrellas available, The hotel restaurant was an area that fell short of expectations. While the breakfast buffet was fantastic — with a wide assortment of fresh and varied options — the same couldn’t be said for the pool restaurant's lunch and dinner service. The food was mediocre at best, and service was painfully slow. The hotel staff was friendly and welcoming, and the cleanliness of both the rooms and common areas was top-notch. However, due to the consistently slow service at the pool and dining areas, we would likely not return. While it has potential and many strengths, the service experience was too frustrating to overlook

This is the 2nd time we have stayed and it was just as good this time as the first time. Accommodation is spotless, with all the amenities of home. Whole estate is spotless and very well maintained. All within a 5 minute drive in to Lagos or to the beach.

Beautiful, well appointed villa with comfortable beds and everything you could need. We were just a couple doors down from the restaurant and the breakfast buffet was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Amazing stay the accommodations were perfect and so relaxing. The hotel staff was extremely nice and welcoming. The babysitting service helped us out a lot too. Odete was absolutely wonderful with our kids and made us feel very comfortable. I loved our experience there and hope to return.

We always enjoy the Penina hotel. It’s comfortable, the service is very good and friendly too. It has a traditional feel which we like. The pool is brilliant and the breakfast is superb. As a bonus we enjoyed the complimentary, allocated beach chairs on nearby Alvor beach.

Friendly, relaxing, comfortable, cool, great breakfast, good location. Parking not a problem and short walks to nice beaches. Fruit and cold water in Reception is a nice touch. Pool bar drinks are expensive.

Excellent value for money out of season. Upgraded to sea view room - lovely views, good breakfast and enjoyed an excellent meal at the hotel’s Italian restaurant just close to the hotel.

The hotel is in a very quiet location, with easy access to a small but lovely beach. We had our meals at the hotel and they were delicious. Stayed one night only but will likely stay longer next time. Super relaxing!

Everyone that we dealt with from the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast buffet was good. The location was good. About a 10 minute walk to the beach. The room was clean and comfortable. I would stay here again.

What a location! Great view to the ocean right on the cliffs. All rooms (or at least most) with ocean view and a terrace. Fully furnished. Great attitude from personnel. Lots of pools (2 outdoor, 1 indoor heated, 1 jacuzzi) plus a playground (great when traveling with family). Buffet overpriced.

Excellent value. Staff were excellent. The breakfast had everything you could want and very good. Room was comfortable and clean. We stayed 4 nights. Perfect location for the area hikes and tours. Many very good restaurants in easy walking distance.

Love everything about this place. Great treat after walking the fisherman’s trail. The rooms are big, beautiful balcony/terraces, cute bar with excellent G&Ts, pool is perfect at the end of a long hot day, best hotel breakfast we have ever had and the staff are all helpful and friendly.

The breakfast was out of this world amazing! The room was extremely comfortable and the patio was a lovely addition. It was quiet. We liked the bars on the patio door so we could leave it open all night and get fresh air. The pool was lovely.

Breakfast was amazing, and very friendly and helpful staff members. Especially the Portuguese lady at the front desk. Would recommend! Soft mattress, very comfy night. Everything was very clean.

My days here were PERFECT. Vicenza is super nice, always prompt to help you with recommendations of local places. Breakfast was amazing, great variety. Room was very spacious and very clean. With a short drive you can reach the beach and enjoy the area.

We had such a great stay here- room was spacious and very clean and spa facilities were excellent- coming here felt like stepping into a retreat. Staff were so welcoming and friendly and breakfast was delicious, would definitely recommend and would love to return!

The accommodation is very clean, comfortable and practical. Everything is new and well taken care of, the garden and the spa are magical, we had a very relaxing time there after the amazing breakfast! The hosts are incredibly nice and helpful :)

Exceptionally clean pool with plenty of sunbeds/space around - never felt too busy. Children enjoyed the pool and small playground. Well maintained gardens. Apartment was clean, well equipped and comfortable with a nice private outside space (near the pool, ground floor).

Full kitchen with the gear. Balcony looking towards the sea, quiet and no buildings in front which was super nice. We also used the tennis court, the gym and the hottub which were all great. The staff was super friendly and spoke good English, we didn't even have to pay for the tennis gear.

Quiet and peaceful location with a good pool but quite a long way from the beach. The small play Park was adequate for children up to 10 years old. Superb for a small family if you would like a quiet place. Nowhere to walk to eat or drink nearby so shop before you arrive.

The bedroom apartment is big enough for a couple and really comfortable. Big swimming pool area, jacuzzi and sauna were really good as well. Staffs always helpful with everything.

Super clean, spacious & comfortable. Staff at reception were very helpful & friendly. Pool was great tho mostly quite deep 2 metres and over though there was a section about 1.3 metres. Great tennis courts, gym etc also. We had a great stay would highly recommend.

Great location close to beach and village large supermarket close by. Apartment spotless with all you require plenty of room and outside space. Beautiful grounds well maintained great pool area plenty of sunbeds and pool bar.

The apartment was great, like home, clean, comfortable with well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathrooms, fluffy white towels, big comfy beds. We especially enjoyed the outside terrace with private gate to the gardens
